The RepresentUs - Australia movement's position towards all international treaties and conventions is that if our Common Wealth government commits to any treaty or convention then it should honour that commitment by embedding it in our Common Wealth statutes. Furthermore, that:
all international treaties and conventions that have been signed by successive Australian governments and that relate to civil liberties, social justice and human rights will be reflected in all relevant Common Wealth statutes
such obligations are to be actively promoted by our Common Wealth government in all relevant state and territory statutes
all international treaties and conventions will be required to demonstrate a clear benefit to the Australian people and our national interests and well-being
all international treaties and conventions will be required to demonstrate our nations commitment to the rule of law and being a good global citizen
